Can you put your bars up anywhere?

Certainly, our bars can be put up in the home, offices, gardens, marquees, village halls, church halls, almost anywhere as long as you have permission from the owner of the property.

How much space is required?

The space required is dependant on the number of people. For a party of up to 100 people an area of 4 square metres is required. For over 100 people we would require an area of 6 square metres.

How long does it take to set up the bars?

This is dependent on the venue and type of event, and we will discuss this with you once we have received your application, but usually around 3 hours is required.  Please note we may need to gain access to the venue the day before on some occasions.

What type of glasses do you use?

We normally use high quality plastic glasses but can use normal glasses should you wish. This would incur an additional cost of £75.

What is the Minimum & Maximum number of guest’s?

The minimum number of guests we would normally cater for is 80, but please, contact us if the number is below this as we may be able accommodate your requirements. There is no maximum number of guests that we cater for, but please tell us approximate numbers when booking so we can ensure sure we have enough stock.

Do I need to apply for a licence to serve alcohol?

Yes, as you may know, for any event where the sale of alcohol is taking place, you must have a licence to sell alcohol.  – Once we have received your booking form and fee we will arrange this on your behalf.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?

Yes we have full Public Liability and Employers Liability cover for every event we do.

How far in advance do I need to book?

As soon as possible! Due to exceptionally high demand “Grapevine Bars” cannot guarantee any booking until your fee has been received. Minimum time required is 21 days.

What happens if we change the venue?

If you decide to change your venue after we have applied for the alcohol licence then an additional £25 will be payable to cover the cost of applying for a new licence.

We still require a minimum of 21 days notice to be able to change the Licence.  Unfortunately if you change your within 21 days of the event then there is a possibility that we would not be able to provide you with a bar.  Your booking fee will not be refunded.

I’m having my Event in a Marquee?

If your event is to be held in a marquee, then please remember, when making plans for your layout to leave enough room to accommodate the bar.  Alternatively speak to your marquee company about arecting a area specifically for the bar. This can give it an added touch and is a great place for people to meet and talk.  We can provide an 8m X 4m Marquee for the bar area if required, at an additional cost.

It is important that the bar area is on a completely flat surface.  We would require an electricity supply in the form of a generator or nearby mains supply.  If we are using proper glassware then access to a water supply would also be advantageous.

Why do I have to pay a Fee?

A fee is payable to secure your booking and contributes towards the administration costs in obtaining your licence. Cancellation of your booking at any time will result in the loss of your booking fee. Your booking is only confirmed once your cheque has cleared.

I’m looking to have reception drinks or Table Wine?

We can provide all your reception drinks and table wines at competitive prices. We have a great range of Wines / Champagnes and Juices available to suit all tastes. Please see our Wine List. Should you choose to have your wines or champagne from us, then there is no additional charge to serve your drinks and also the hire of glasses is free. However should you choose to purchase your wines / champagne from elsewhere and would like us to serve them for you,   then this will incur an additional charge. Please contact us to discuss.

If you are having reception drinks that are not provided by us, then we ask that all drinks are removed from the tables etc. and no longer consumed when the bar opens.
